Find out from fellow patients what it is like to be involved in a clinical research project. Hear about individual experiences. Listen to experts explain the different aspects of diabetes. . We are really pleased that site continues to receive a large number of visitors each month. If you have any comments or would like to hear about any topics not yet covered please do let us know
Clinical research can be carried out in hospital or in general practice and today, as more and more patients, receive their diabetes care from the family doctor it is really important to make sure that research can be carried out in this setting.
A recent publication, which can be viewed here explains how the Diabetes Research Network offers new opportunities for diabetes research in primary care. To accompany the article there is also a short video which you can view by clicking here. Dont forget there is much more information in the section on primary care.
We have some exciting new materials that we will be making available soon. We have interviews with more of the leading experts in diabetes and more information on pregnancy, hypos and lifestyle. We are also hoping to bring you a section specifically aimed at young people with diabetes. We hope this will be ready by the end of the summer.
We hope you find the material on this site useful but please remember the information provided on www.diabetesresearchnetworking.org is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient and his/her health professional
